9/21/2023 0 Comments Affinity photo adobe photoshop![]() I am now struggling with a specific Coloring Procedure based on Photoshop that I have to migrate into Affinity Photo. I decided to move my team from Adobe to Affinity 2 months ago. Software Age: Photoshop is older and has a larger user base, but Affinity Photo is a more modern software. Hello there, I am using Affinity Photo for several years now, in a professional context. It can do everything that PS can do, and the interface is almost identical, so longtime users wont find it difficult to switch. Tutorials: Both Affinity Photo and Photoshop have abundant tutorials and learning resources available. Pros: Affinity Photo gives Adobe Photoshop a real run for its money. Interface: Affinity Photo has a more modern and user-friendly interface divided into personas for different tasks.Īuto Selection: Photoshop has better AI-enhanced auto selection tools, giving it an advantage in this area. IPad Versions: Both Affinity Photo and Photoshop have capable versions for the iPad. Smart Objects: Photoshop has better and more intuitive support for smart objects. Price: Affinity Photo is a one-time purchase, whereas Photoshop requires a recurring subscription, making Affinity Photo more cost-effective. PSD File Support: Photoshop has better support for its native PSD format, while Affinity Photo has limited compatibility with PSD files.īrush Tool: Both Affinity Photo and Photoshop have capable brush engines, but Affinity Photo has an edge with its live preview feature. Live Preview: Affinity Photo has a live preview feature for various tools, which is more convenient compared to Photoshop. Video summary by section: (I found these generally accurate) It always seems we end up with Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe. A professional may find enough value in Photoshop to justify the price, but that said, I know that many pros use Affinity, too. Photo editing applications come and go, and really very few have any manner of staying power. ![]() I barely scratch the full feature set of Affinity, much less needing all that Photoshop offers. For me, Affinity is a great fit, especially for the price. The 3-year ownership cost of Affinity is 1/10th the cost of Photoshop.
